At Aurora Protective Services Group, we strive for transparancy with our Recruitment process. We fully understand the frustrations of not hearing from companies for weeks and not knowing where exactly your application is, however at Aurora, we aim to update all our candidates to which section of their application is, and in the event your application is unsuccessful, we will communicate with you openly for the reason why.
Application
In the application phase is literally just applying for the company, where we see what you are like as an individual which also comes 3 part Competency questionnaire to see you are suitable for Aurora – Protective Services Group.
Interview
During the interview phase is where you will meet the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operations Officer and perhaps the Service Delivery Manager, where we, as a company get to know you better, details from your past and where you would like to end up and ultimately what you could bring to the company as well as how you work as a person within a team.
Induction
If you are successful at the interview you will be invited to an Induction day where we will go over what is expected of you and what tasks you are expected to carry out during your time within the company and cover in, However you are not yet fully in the company yet!
Training
During this process you will undergo Aurora’s own additional training modules covering over Conflict Management, Physical Intervention and Communication followed by some Reading and Writing Exams which each candidate must undergo to be eligible to join properly and also some training skills as well as general knowledge of laws and legislation that would apply to you that could help you in field.
Probation
Congratulations, by this point you are in the company at whatever capacity you may wish for or company sees fit for yourself as a Probationary Employee, where you will spend up to 3 to 6 months with a Field Training Officers, who will mentor you and teach you the ropes and essentially will hold your hands through any situation. Regular reviews will occur between yourself and your FTO to see how you are managing and to see if they still reckon you are suitable for the job. In the final day with an FTO, they must pass you to say they are confident you are capable with working with a standard Security Officer, where they will expect you to be able to hold your weight and assist.
